It is a very special property located in the south west of DOQ Priorat. Our families, that already own other properties, wineries and food projects in Priorat region decided to purchase it in 2012 because of its exceptional conditions into DOQ Priorat. At the same time we decided that it was going to be a completely new and separate project.

Soil in Priorat is Llicorella, a kind of Slate. That slate is in the surface thanks to different tectonic movements and erosion, but there is a small part in the region, where the property is located, where we still have the same soil composition like thousands of years ago. Here, Llicorella is covered by a small limestone layer, and other sedimentary materials. So we have part of the roots in the sedimentary materials and part into the slate.

At the same time, it has more elevation than the average of the region. Surrounding mountains ‘architecture’ around it create a very interesting micro climate where combination of wind and rain bring us nice concentration and Priorat character but at the same time, fresh and elegant wines.

Up in Munt Roca the light, the smells and the sound of the soft winds are unique! They show us a new Priorat dimension full of inspiration and close to heaven, like the origins of the region.

We have Red Garnatxa, Carinyena, typical grapes from Priorat but also: Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, all of them from 21 to 44 years old.
